Portrait eines kleinen Jungen / Mädchens, mit blauem Kleid. Feinste Gouache-Malerei auf Papier, unter Glas gerahmt. Antiker Holzrahmen mit ziseliertem, wohl vergoldetem Messingring, verso ist eine Aufhängung vorhanden.
Die schöne Malerei ist nicht signiert, dürfte aber aufgrund der feinen Qualität mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit von einem akademischen Maler ausgeführt worden sein. Das Gesicht und die Haare des Kindes sind herrlich fein gemalt, wohl Lupenmalerei.
Die antike Miniatur ist in altersbedingtem, gutem Zustand, mit leichten Gebrauchsspuren (blaues Kleid stellenweise minimal berieben). Miniatur ohne Beschädigungen, ohne Flecken, ohne Risse, ohne restaurierte Stellen. Das schöne, gewölbte Glas ist gut erhalten, ohne Kratzer, die Spiegelungen ließen sich beim fotografieren leider nicht vermeiden, das Glas ist unbeschädigt. Der alte Miniatur-Rahmen ist ebenfalls in gutem Zustand, das Holz ist stabil, nicht verwurmt, nicht brüchig, stellenweise mit Gebrauchsspuren. Auf der Rückseite befindet sich ein jüngerer Vermerk, ob es sich hierbei um den Namen des Kindes oder Künstlers handelt, lässt sich schwer sagen.

Jozef Popczyk kam 1890 als Sohn einer polnischen Mutter und eines russischen Vaters in Brzeiny/Polen (nördlich von Krakau) zur Welt. In Lemberg studierte er Architektur, als Architekt war er in Polen und im Ausland tätig. Jozef Popczyk starb 1971 wohl in Chorzòw (Königshütte). Jozef Popzyk wurde erst nach seinem Tod im Jahr 1971 als bedeutender Maler der École de Paris gewürdigt. Der künstlerische Nachlass wurde im Kreise der Familie entdeckt. Seitdem faszinieren seine bewegten, im Kolorit reduzierten Ansichten aus Paris und anderen Metropolen die Kunstwelt. Die Malerei war seine Leidenschaft. Die 1910er und 20er Jahre verbrachte der Künstler in Paris, später ging er nach England und Venedig. Die virtuose Malerei des Künstlers findet zunehmend Beachtung, Gemälde von Jozef Popczyk werden hoch gehandelt.

Exquisites Landschaftsgemälde, dem Künstler geht es vor allem um die Stimmung in der Natur, die er virtuos malerisch darstellt. Tiefhängende Wolken jagen über den Himmel, der sich in einer grossen Pfütze vor einer Scheune spiegelt, fast kann man den stärker werdenden Wind spüren.
Das antike Gemälde ist in altersbedingtem, guten Zustand, mit Gebrauchsspuren. Die Malerei ist schön erhalten, ohne Übermalungen, ohne Farbverluste.
